Conservative Electors Association Opens Mayor and Council Candidate Applications Province-Wide Ahead of 2026 Municipal Elections

First-time candidates and incumbents are encouraged to apply for mayor and council races across British Columbia

Vancouver, BC: The Conservative Electors Association today announced that applications are officially open for British Columbians interested in seeking the Conservative nomination for mayor and council in municipalities across the province.

Prospective candidates can apply now at: https://www.conservativeassociation.ca/candidates/apply

The Conservative Electors Association will accept applications from community leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, first responders, volunteers, and other residents who want to deliver safer streets, lower taxes, and families first at city hall through common-sense conservative leadership. The process includes multiple stages of vetting to ensure high standards of integrity, competence, and public trust.

“As Chair, I’m inviting principled, service-minded British Columbians to step up,” said Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Chair of the Conservative Electors Association Advisory Board. “Whether you’ve run a business, coached a team, served in uniform, or simply believe your city can do better, we want you on the field. We are building credible local teams who will deliver safer streets, lower taxes, and put families first.”

“We welcome applicants from all walks of life - including first-time candidates,” said Elaine Allan, Vice Chair of the Conservative Electors Association Advisory Board. “Our process is rigorous and fair: background and reference checks, interviews, and proof of community support. If you bring character, work ethic, and common-sense conservative values, you’ll find a professional, supportive campaign environment with us.”

“Applications are open today, and we encourage both first-timers and current officeholders to apply,” said David Denhoff, President of the Conservative Electors Association. “We’re also proactively reaching out to incumbent mayors and councillors in jurisdictions where we are registered, because voters deserve a clear Conservative option on the ballot.”

The Conservative Electors Association is registered with Elections BC as a local elector organization and will appear on municipal ballots as “Conservative.”
